I'd like a giant cardboard cutout kittykill please!

I could travel in the carpool lane with one of those!  Grin Unless by "giant" you mean truly giant, rather than life-size.

Anyway, thank you MareMare for starting the thread. I'll do my best to be in on the road trip. There's absolutely no telling where I'll be in the summer, though I'm pretty sure I'll still be in California, at least. Where I live currently, at the south end of the San Joaquin Valley, I can as easily drive through the Valley (I-5 or Hwy 99) as along the coast (Hwy 101), on the way to San Francisco (about 6 hours); so I could pick people up in between on one route or the other. Or if there are people interested in going who are further south, they could travel with me as well.

With enough interested people between California and southern Oregon, it might be viable to rent a big van. That way we could drive continuously with different people taking over and everyone else crafting or sleeping.  Smiley We could stop anywhere we wanted to, but the fastest and straightest route to Portland from California doesn't have much in terms of tourist attractions.
We'd roll into various towns to pick people up, drawing suspicious looks from locals as we pile out of the van with trails of yarn and beads spilling out behind us. And we'd need a sign for the window: "The Craftsterwagon: West Coast Tour"!

Sad I get told all the time that people think I am from Portland but I'm not. I'm from TX. And I live in NM. I want to go! You guys make me so jealous. I want a stitched KittyKill autograph, too. This is my grumpy face:  Angry
