What lovely quilts!  I have never tried a quilt with such intricate borders like that!  It looks amazing!

Thanks for the links...I always love to learn new things...

Is there a group collecting quilts for Japan?  I have made some that might be too big for the Quilt for Kids group...I love making quilts for babies and children but I have no room to keep any!

alwasinmyroom, thank you for the sweet comments. Anita's tutorials are wonderful. I was only a beginner when I started that quilt.

I sent my Japan quilt to Quilter's newsletter. They were not particular about the size. But the deadline was April 30.
Sorry about that.

Korok, your quilt is awesome!

In case anyone needs batting---1/2 price this week at Joanns...

I was able to get the batting I needed for the rest of my Quilt for Kids! I got up early this morning and got one more quilted...

Found out yesterday that my 30 year old niece would love to have a quilt...she loves batiks

Korok--wow--what an eye-catching quilt...and a first quilt? wow  Well done

Korok. I really like how your quilt turned out.  The colors are gorgeous and it is just wonky enough to be really fun.  Good job.

Thanks for the hint about the batting Always.  I am getting to the bottom of my stash.  I just used half a batting with no label on the bag other than a price of $2.99.  It was probably from my grandmother's stash.  It is really old style cotton but fortunately it is for a wall hanging so it won't see much washing.

I swear I cannot throw out a scrap...I had a few pieces of Kaffe Fassett green strips leftover from a project...I combined them with some cotton that thesapphiremoon had given to me and then used some green dots leftover from the lining of a purse I made for sheepblue...I did buy the backing, which is a weird print of cabbages Cheesy
