Thanks for the advice guys!  I am still not sure which one I'm going to do, but I have to go get some more fabric no matter what so that is how I'm spending my day today, lol.  I will make up my mind sooner or later.  Either way, I'm going to have a bunch of pillows on my bed and want to do a few different styles on them, so which ever pattern I don't make as the quilt will end up as a pillow or two.

And yeah, I am thinking applique for the birds...although just the word makes me nervous, ha ha!

Lieblings - congrats on having the self control to be taking it slow and making it perfect...can't wait to see it!

is that the same as steam a seam?  where you essentially make an iron on patch?  cause that stuff rules.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

I am almost done all the rows of four, and picked up sheets today to complete the sets - each girl will get pillow sham, quilt, sheet set, hanging pocket organizer, and a yo-yo animal, and jammies, it will either be for valentines, easter, or when the become big sisters, depends on when I finish

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

I *just* finished the Costume Shop quilt!  I've been hand sewing binding nearly all day.  Sheesh, my fingers are sore.  I think it's time for a cup of Sleepytime and bed.  I'll post pictures of the finished quilt in the morning.  Smiley

Mommy - on my new one, you can't drop the feed dogs.  If I had realized that I probably wouldn't have bought that model...but, you can always cover them with your darning plate if you can't drop 'em, so I guess it's not *that* big of a deal, it just annoys me a little.

Well poo.  I bet mine is that way...I will look at the manual, but I know it came with a special looking darning plate.  I sure hope those dogs drop cause this will be a PITA to quilt if not.

Oh, and I vote string Cheesy

Hi stellou! Sometimes it's so hard to cut into fabrics lol! I like the cowboys and knghts and dragons ideas, I am going to be making some boyish quilts for my nephews at some point this year. I think they are going to be scrappy because I have all kinds of random material collected--cars, trucks, pirates, transformers, etc.
