Thanks for clarifying MareMare! I will definitely be taking part in this craft-along!

Seeing that gorgeous black & white quilt top has inspired me to get working on mine! I love the monochrome with pops of colour! I've just started quilting and I covet every quilt I come across!

No kicking here sloth! Good for you, that's awesome!

Lieblings--isn't it hard to decide on a project when you want to make everyone you see? Oh well, not a bad problem to have I guess, as far as problems go Grin

Oh, I have another project to add to my list! Kinda funny--at the baby shower today my friendm(the one I made the monkey quilt for) gave me her husband's baby quilt that's all ratty and torn up and asked me if I could do anything with it! I'm going to fix the rips and add batting and quilt and bind it! I'm so excited and it feels so nice that she trusts me to work on it (I don't know if I trust me to work on it, but that's another story).

In the center of each square there used to be embroidery, but all that remains now is a few stitches here and there and the transfer outline. It would take me months probably to do that much embroidery, and she said not to bother, but I'm thinking of getting some fabric markers and at least outlining it and maybe crayon tinting the inside. I'm going to double check with her first, but I think that would be better than leaving just the strange purple-ish transfer on it.

I wanted to share this pattern for quilting lines that I just found with you all, I am going to be using it on my next quilt and think it is super cute (and just possibly simple enough for me to do) Grin

I am adding another one to my list a really fast (hopefully..as I am working on the overachiever tag today) quilt from 9 FQ, I have succumbed to the lure of FQ recently, bought some online and three (expensive!) but very cute japanese imports the other day. Today is the last day of my holidays, work tomorrow, so I am going to go and cut and piece this together now...lets see how long it takes

just coming in to preen and give myself a pat on the back..I have the quilt top pieced..With a few interruptions, having to rethread my machine about 10 times and ripping one block while being too impatient to use a seam ripper and so having to remake it....

with all of that I choose fabric, cut and pieced in about an hour and a half...I am going to see if I can get it completed tonight!!!

Are you kidding me?!  This is perfect!  I love how simple the directions are and how she calls it 'driving'...and also the fact that you don't have to mess with lowering your feed dogs or looking for your stinkin' darning plate...lol.

Edel - can't wait to see it!!  You rock!  On a side note, I too have a serious addiction to FQ's.  Just can't help it.  And don't really wanna anyway.  Cheesy
