Is anybody interested in setting a goal of 11 quilts this year and encouraging each other to work on our lists? The 50 projects is way too much pressure on me, but I was counting up the quilt projects I need/want to make and there are a lot of them!

Anyone can join at anytime, just post your list in this thread and away we go!

October Challenge: Everyone who is able to cross a project off of their list this month will be entered into a drawing to win 4 fat quarters. It needs to be a quilt already on your list, but if you have it partially completed this is the time to finish it! Each person will only get one entry, so if you finish more than one project that is awesome, but it still just counts for one entry. I'll pick them out of my stash based on winners color/design preferences. Challenge will run until November 10th. Remember to post a link/pic in the thread so I can add you to the drawing list!

Qualifiers:

cursive_queen with Baby Quilt 1
kwiltykate with scrap strip quilt
Little_G with quilt for niece
waggonswest with Quilt for Sassy
edelc with two quilts off list (baby quilt plus faux log cabin)
J_Kieviet with heart quilt

i'll play.

tho my first two quilts of 2011 walked out the door to the Alzheimer society this afternoon already.

1-black and white and wonky
2-rectangles mute
3-rectangles loud done
4-half square for curling x2 done and raffled off. Smiley
5-red and white
6-finish 1992 woot.  it is even more awesome than i hoped.
7-mix tape quilt in yellow (oh fransson pattern)
8-ragged circles done.   Smiley
9-paint box quilt (oh fransson pattern)
10-garden quilt
11-replenish stash of flannel baby quilts
2 done

12- extra work...
Alzheimer golf tournament donation quilts
hand dyed colour wheel dresden plate.
make eleventy million string blocks with the out of control strip basket.

added- mini art quilt done and here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=377427.0

i also have picked up a 6 memory quilt commission DONE.  mostly tshirts arghhhh!

and as always. keep plugging away at my hand sewn hexies. since it is all hand done so far i figure this will be my first (well technically second) hand quilted quilt as well.  (this will probably be included in the quilt a long 2012 and 2013 editions as well)

I want to play!  I made a New Year's intention to complete at least 1 quilt a month so this fits perfectly with that.  I hope the extra accountability will help keep me on track.
Here is my list:

1. quilt for my sister that was promised about 4 years ago
2. baby/kid quilt that will be made from 6 large nursery rhyme blocks that my dd colored  ~ top finished, waiting for quilting
3. queen size quilt for my brother
4. quilting and binding a quilt for my dd
5. Alice in Wonderland quilt
6. northwoodsy quilt from bamboo/cotton blend fabric
7. baby boy quilt
8. baby girl quilt
9. finish a quilt my ds started when he was 8 or 9 and now has no interest in (he is 16)  Smiley
10. I know these are not quilts, but making quilted boots for myself and my dd
11. 4 partially finished quilts from the same pattern

EDIT: #11 needs amending.  I finished 1 of the 4 last Nov. (forgot I did that).  Out of the 3 left, my dd wants to finish 1, so my #11 should be to finish 2 quilts from the same pattern. Smiley

That will get me started.  I also have a half dozen or so finished tops that need to be quilted that I would like to get done this year.
Looking forward to some finished quilts! Smiley

Whoa sloth, you are a machine! What kind of pattern do you use for the Alzheimer quilts? That is so nice of you!

Love your list Deece! I made an Alice in Wonderland inspired mini quilt, crazy quilt style for a swap last year. What's yours going to be like?

If anyone wants to post patterns, inspiration pics, color palette ideas...um I will promise to lust after them Wink

these two were just baby quilts (approx. 1mx1m)(a yard ish square)

and i cheaped out and did a super simple checker board pattern... one in bot flannels and one in girls.

i have been hauling butt the past two days on black and white and wonky and should... <crosses fingers> have a top to show off by saturday. the two curling quilts are donations as well and i need to have them done before the 15th...of january.  wish me luck.
i am hyper obsessed with getting b&w&w out of my head and into fabric that other obligations are falling by the wayside.  i should introduce you to my new dust bunny tenants. Cheesy

i love those micheal miller/laura gunn poppy prints... hubby picked me up two fat quarter bundles last time he travelled. the blues and spicy colour paths.  i love them.  and made a make up bag out of a couple of them...  Cheesy

They're so beautiful! I did the Michael Miller FQ monthly club for most of last year and got 12 fat quarters of Poppy. I used some of it in a quilt for a swap, but love it so much I replaced what I used and bought some yardage to make one for me!

I'm going to be keeping an eye on this craftalong...I've got a couple of projects (Raw Edge Circle quilt and Scrappy String Blocks quilt) on the go and several ideas of raggy quilts I'd like to make.  I'm sure that the quilts you have are going to be lovely!  The fabric sound terrific! =]

Not quite 11 to do, unless small 12x12's count, but I do have the following:

1)Spring/summer quilt for myself - decided on a dresden plate pattern on one side, and just random squares on the other side
2)Baby quilt
3)"Big sister to two" quilt
4)Big sister quilt
6}baby quilt
7}quilt to match laudry basket basinette
repair Christmas quilt

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.
