If you are going to use paper patterns, you will need to make yourself some fabric weights!

Well shoot, been sewing since I was 3 at my sister's knee and never heard nor thought of fabric weights.

I've managed to use up two more balls of sock yarn today.

Wait, it gets better.

When I went to the yarn shop and two quilt shops yesterday, I manged to only buy what I needed for the project I am currently working on.

And....

When I go to the thrift store searching out sweaters to take apart for the yarn, I have a project in mind for those too and am only buying what will work for that project.

It is kind of amazing, the extra money I have left over when I don't just buy crafting supplies indiscriminately. And I am getting more things actually finished.

i dont have it in me    i have to go to joanns today to get some supplies for my uncles bday gifta dn im already thiking bout what i can buy for me just cause... ugh!
but i have thought about the positive impacts on my wallet... maybe that will help lol

Wow--you made those weights so quickly!  They look great...I am going to make some in a round flat shape as well...

So far, I have not purchased anything for about two weeks, except a crochet book...   I have a feeling I will be buying some yarn to make those, but NO FABRIC...

I also have tons of scarves and old clothes to cut up and use (stuff not even goodwill would want...even the less fortunate want to look nice and fashionable...)

i also went through all of my wardrobe to sort what is perfect to keep, what need mending, altering, or upcycling, and what i can donate.
i have been prepping so hard for this new year!

My goodness, I've missed the past 13 pages or so. Must not have gotten my notification, or something, and as usual I forgot to check! So much to catch up on!

apm, I had to use my leg when I started, too. And my mom still uses her leg (well, stomach actually), and I taught her early last year.
