My best friend had her 50th Birthday bash on 2 January. On Friday she is going overseas to Italy and Europe for 12 months. She will be travelling all around during that time. What to get her for a gift? I decided to make her a travel wallet, for holding her passport etc. Using a fantastic tutorial on Craftster http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=273186.0
I made one for her out of some cute fabric I have been hoarding forever.
This is the outside. I love the kittehs
Inside left has a boarding pass holder. Under that is the passport holder slot and a driver's licence slot.
On the right there is a change purse on top
Underneath the change purse are two credit card slots
In the middle there is a zippered pouch
We just had to put some English pounds, Scottish pounds, Euros, Mongolian Tugriks and Chinese dollars (?) in.
Under the zippered pouch is another slot for itinerary and other paperwork
Thank you so much, Stitch81, for this awesome tutorial! I could not have done it on my own.
I tried so hard to get it all exact, precise, completely even etc. I failed.
it is quite wonky, but she did love it
This way, my friend will think of me all the time while she is travelling. Whether she curses me because the travel wallet is wonky and weak, or thank me because it works really well - only time can tell!
