Made for a Secret Santa gift exchange in my knitting group. I drew my running/biathlon partner, so, of course, I had to make something inspirational. Here's the result. This was my first foray into colorwork, and for the most part I enjoyed it.

I did have some issues with the pattern. The top was originally all colorwork, and it was supposed to be finished with a tri-top. But the instructions for it really weren't clear, and I flubbed that up. Had to go back and snip and re-knit the top. It turned out well though.

I think you did a great job modding the top of the hat and excellent first colorwork project!  I'm sure your partner loved it!

Thanks!! Carrying the yarn makes the hat double-layered...very warm for winter running.

And as much as the hat annoyed me, my partner did like it.

Thanks for the feedback!!
