Just checking in, I'm ready to post one of my matchboxes. Just need to let it dry for another day. I need to start decorating my other one. Thought of a theme, just need to go with it.

I'd be interested in doing a personal swap with anyone who wants to do a fabric-wool swap. I have lots of wool and yarns!

I just finished a swap. This weekend I will start on my matchbox. I already have everything planned so it should go fast. I will be sending early or right on time. Smiley

Greetings from cold, snowy Indiana!  Don't know how many of you heard about the Chicago Blizzard of 2011.  Yes, we live in Indiana, but are only about 3 miles from Chicago city limits.  What we get is nearly twice what they get because we live so close to the lake.  We were unable to get out of the house for 3 days because of the snow and wind had left 4-6' of snow drifts against our doors and windows.

Annnnnyway, I'm just checking in to see how others are doing on their matchboxes, compared with my own progress.  I have all the goodies to put inside the boxes, but I hate the boxes themselves.  Those little corner tabs are driving me nuts, and I've decided to start over on them. I'm sluggish, but will definitely be able to mail on time.

Still no baby granddaughter yet, even though our daughter is over-due at this point.  She's in good spirits though.  Baby Nathan has already gained 1#!  Smiley

BTW...how do I find my way to the gallery to post and see pics?

Happy Crafting to all!!

If I'd known having grandchildren was so much fun, I would've had them first!

I finally put the finishing touches on my matchboxes! They're both decorated and filled to the brim, and they will be off on Monday. Yay!

Earthie, your blizzard tale is quite alarming. We were all braced for that same storm here in Toronto, but it passed by us with barely any fuss. I guess it had already dumped most of its load of snow on you!

I've been messing with matchboxes all weekend.  Its been quite fun.  I've run into the same little problem most have,.....  THey don't hold very much!  Last night I did a 'test stuff' and found that everything I have completely done is stuffing them.  I guess its time to put the finishing touches on everything and get 'em out in the mail!

I have a matchbox confession. When my room was destroyed a couple of weeks ago so was the items for my theme. I was like "Ok, I will go with a different theme." I found the perfect theme. I set down tonight and went back over the notes I made for my partner. I always write what my partner will not like when I am making notes. I noticed the whole theme I picked was something she didn't like. OMG! ROFL!

I guess in all my stress and confusing the past couple of weeks with my craft room I got everything mixed up.

No worries, one of her favorite subjects is perfect and I have everything. I am working  on the swap right now. I like this one better and I can spoil even more. I am excited.
