Are there still spots open? And can anyone tell me roughly how much they think shipping is going to cost if I do this? I would love to do this swap though!  Grin

there are spots open!  join us!
shipping should only be a few dollars, due to the tiny nature of the boxes Smiley  they can easily be mailed in padded envelopes!

US shipping in a padded envelope shouldn't cost more than a few dollars. I went on usps.com and calculated shipping from VT to CA (I figured they were far enough away). There were lots of options under five dollars--and I set the weight at one pound, which is crazy for a matchbox, so in real life it'll be way less. Of course, it'll depend on the ratio of stickers to glass beads you're sending. Grin

I was just making sure because I have to ask my mom (I'm 17) if she'll let me do this and since I'm broke (spent all my Christmas money on crafting stuff) she'll be paying for shipping.
Also, how am I supposed to print the pattern from http://blog.swap-bot.com/rachelmatchboxtemplate.pdf
I'm going to fill out the questionnaire right now and then send it after I get the Okay from my mom.
I'm kinda excited and scared because this is my first ever swap.  Grin

i'm going to use real matchboxes.  they were super cheap for a multi-pack at target, and hey, you never know when you might need some wooden matches!

I'm not sure what your question is - it should print out the right size on the paper. It also recommends using stiffer paper than regular computer paper, like cardstock - this is also important for this swap since you'll be sending it through the mail and it will get squished if it's not stiff enough.

It just seemed like the page looked like the box would be really small but I guess that's how small its supposed to be. I'm going to print it (if my mom gives me the okay) on regular paper and then use the regular paper to cut out the pieces from a cardboard box since I have a ton of those laying around.

that's the template I found that I planned to use, and the pdf says to print it NOT fit to page.  so just make sure you uncheck that box before you hit print.  Smiley
