Ha, aprons are the best - and they're addicting.  I have over 20, more than half homemade by me.  Just get some nice hooks to display them on.

Oh, and my husband and I refer to the fabric store as "my crack dealer".  I know I shouldn't buy more fabric, but it's-just-so-pretty-and-it-was-totally-on-sale-so-I-HAD-to-buy-it.

These are GORGEOUS!  So sweet.  I've seen some tutorials about making aprons out of fat quarters... Might be a budget option, in case you wanted to start super early on holiday presents or something!! Wink

They look really cute.  The second one almost looks like a skirt-  you seem to have natural talent so keep at it.

wow! Maybe I should do a contest or some sort for aprons! They seem to be very popular lately!

hmmm--let me talk it over with the other two clothing mods...an apron challenge!

Thank you for all the compliments and advice!  I actually whipped up another apron yesterday.  I decided to make one for my mother-in-law to give her as a late Christmas gift.  It was definitely  more challenging because I had to make sure it was PERFECT (I can't give away anything with major flaws!), and I'm so happy with the way it came out!  It looks very finished, the seams are perfect, and I lined up the band's fabric design as suggested. omg--you are so awesome to take the challenge and run with it!  I bet everything you make is going to be fabulous because you are so open to improving your growing sewing skills!

Did you take a pic before giving it away?  Your color and pattern choices are so refreshing and wonderful to see!

Thank you!  I think I'm just bored because my spring semester hasn't started yet Wink  haha but really, I am a perfectionist and can't leave projects alone until they look the way I want.

I haven't taken photos yet but also haven't wrapped it so that I can takes pictures later.  I'll update this thread when I do!
