My partner is totally awesome Cheesy

I've got a plan for the concept and several items already. What gets made depends on what I can find at my local thriftstore (in the spirit of post-apocalyptic recycling I'm going to try to make everything from thrift items and what I already have in my stash). I'll probably start crafting Monday after next, once my midterms are over.

I'm super stoked to start! This is the first time I've gotten a partner in the same city! (Pretty much)
But I have to send out for the Vegan/Vegetarian swap before I let myself get crazy with this one. So many ideas brewing.

I have the Best matched partner EVER!

I'm so excited to get started.  Time to go do a little homework, and start looking at the thrift stores to see what I can reclaim.

I'm a little sad that I'm not going to end up making a jacket out of reclaimed tires.... I kinda want to do that anyway just for fun.

Ordered some supplies for a medium; still need to do some brainstorming for other items. A thrift store run sounds like it might be inspiring. It also serves as an excuse for me to browse Wink

Anyone have inspiration movie suggestions for this swap?

I'd recommend:
Mad Max (obviously)
Dark City
Chronicles of Riddick
Tank Girl
City of Lost Children

Let me know your favorites. I like to watch movies while I craft. Smiley

Delicatessen
City Of Lost Children
are my all time favorite post apocalyptic films

I've started, undone, and restarted my first item multiple times, but I think I finally got it going in a good direction. I'm kinda making it up as I go, so hopefully the end piece is as good as it is in my head. That's one of the things I love about post apocalyptic fashions: Imperfections, tears, and the worn out look make it all the more beautiful!
