Huh, that adds some clarity to the album, the spoken tracks particularly. I hadn't listened to MCR in years and a friend was playing it in her car and I sort of fell in love all over. This new information is sort of making me love it more. Tongue

Oddly enough, one of my imaginary scenarios was much like that - takeover and a rebel, renegade group. One of my others is some sort of nuclear apocalypse. Rebuilding from nothing. Loves me some gas masks and SARS gaurds. And they're useful when I do spraypainting / chemically obnoxious crafts. Roll Eyes

I like anything resulting in some sort of multicultural blending of styles. Dig it.

And Fullmoon, it says you sent late with communication, so I'm really not too worried about that. I say that I'll refuse people because some people just send in their questionnaire and never say a word again, and theres usually something in their feedback about bad communication...

Then once I have a free slot, I will likely sign up. The swaps I sent late on all say late w/ communication. ^_^

I'm thinking I will probably join for defo now Smiley Thanks for the reassurance about non clothes items. Can you mkae up your own apocalyptic scenaria? I have a random idea surrounding theatre and becoming ;stuck' in a play so to speak.

Anyway, I will think more and probably fill in the questionnaire sometime this week.

Yeah, any end of the world scenario is great, as long as you can explain it well enough to your partner!

I'm going away for a couple weeks for a memorial service, so *if* I get back in time to sign up, I definitely will be!

Okay, so I'm all hyped up about the apocalypse, but I'm not REALLY sure what I would make/ask for in a swap. Does anyone have any good links to apocalyptic fashion, or other apocalyptically-inspiring things?

I posted one in the swap idea thread.... and I have a lot of things in my wists. I will probably compile a little list this weekend (or soonish, I need to stop being sick so I can sit here for a while and focus) of some links and such. Also googling "Post-Apocalyptic Fashion" or distopian or apocalypse or anything like that and looking at images helps a lot too!

I personally like googles, hip-bags, reconstructed clothing (like threadbare sweaters with patches or mishmashed random clothing), arm warmers... I plan on trying to make it to the army surplus store (or searching online) once I assign partners to look at stuff too. Anything that looks like it survived the end of the world really...

Oh, and I plan on making a list of Apocalypse scenarios that I'll post as well when I do this!

I wanted to also make another little note here on getting ideas: WISTS! They are so helpful... and addictive! They really help when you get a partner; even if they don't have anything on there that is swap-specific its a great way to get to know them. I feel like my wists represents my personal style, even though I never really tried to make it "me" and I love when my partner has one I can stalk and get ideas off of!
