This little dollar store tea set was turned into a gift for my grand daughter to share with her American Girl dolls.  It was a fast gift, easy to make, inexpensive but very loved.

1 dollar store toy tea set
1/3 yard fabric
2 yard trim
scissors, sewing machine with thread
about 20 minutes

The tin "trunk" was also a dollar store find.  I used the plastic the tea set was sold in, trimmed to fit, to display and gift this little girls toy!

oooh thats so cute, i made something similar for my brother for halloween, he went to school as the mad hatter and wanted to be able to have improptu tea parties when ever he wanted. i wish i had photos.  his checkered table cloth doubled as his carrying case and folded up to be tied around a stick hobo style

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
