I couldn't wait any longer to post my entry, so here it is!

I taught myself how to do the basic tunisian crochet stitch a couple of months ago.  It's a lot of fun because my mom has been crocheting this way since I was a kid and it is a neat way to bond more with her.

I have seen crochet hook holders made using tunisian crochet before, and I just started knitting about 6 months ago, so I thought I'd make a holder for all of my double pointed needles. I put a number bead under each set so I'd remember which was which.

On the outside, I added some cute brads from Doodlebugs that I have been saving for just the right project!  Then I added loop closures and some pom poms just for fun. It's kind of bulky because it is double layered, but it holds its shape well.

Thanks for looking!

That is beautiful!
I haven't ventured into Tunesian crochet yet, but it seems the perfect technique for this dpn holder.
I love the yarn you used and the embellishments. The inside looks very stylish too.
Happy New Year!

It's not a matter of size, but a matter of heart.

I would LOVE to make one for myself and for my step-mom! we currently have our DPN's in pencil bags... we usually guess the matching set.. how wonderful it would be to give this to her for her birthday! could I please have the pattern? or a kind of walk-through?
I love this idea!

It's just the basic tunisian stitch.  You can make it as long and wide as you want, then make a second one the same size.  Crochet both pieces together at the sides, add some loops for buttons, and that's about it!  There are a lot of tutorials for the basic tunisian stitch on youtube.

Congrats on winning the crochet contest! This was my second most favourite entry (after my own Grin), I like the color and the simple functional design very much. Hope you win against the knit winner!
