I too watched some of the gingerbread creations on tv - you certainly have done an excellent job.   I have brought a kit one for my granddaughter and will have a go with her if she and her mum have not done it yet.  We do not usually have these in the UK, and as I am living in Spain at the moment have had to wait to have a go.   They certainly do not have it here, although getting more into Christmas so you never know.

Looks too good to eat though.

You have inspired me to have a go when I get home to UK. Smiley   thanks.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful comments!!  This really is my first gingerbread house, but I have some experience with wedding cakes, so this wasn't too far a stretch for me.  We haven't eaten it partly because I'm always baking something up and partly because the royal icing is hard and not our taste.  Smiley  I can't wait for next year to try another one.
