I too watched some of the gingerbread creations on tv - you certainly have done an excellent job.   I have brought a kit one for my granddaughter and will have a go with her if she and her mum have not done it yet.  We do not usually have these in the UK, and as I am living in Spain at the moment have had to wait to have a go.   They certainly do not have it here, although getting more into Christmas so you never know.

Looks too good to eat though.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful comments!!  This really is my first gingerbread house, but I have some experience with wedding cakes, so this wasn't too far a stretch for me.  We haven't eaten it partly because I'm always baking something up and partly because the royal icing is hard and not our taste.    I can't wait for next year to try another one.
