Ok, so this is a tute on how to get a distressed foil border using candy foils.

My weapons of coice!

-scissors
-candy foil (i use the ones that come on Ferrero chocolates)
-Emory board or sander
-glue (my fav is Tacky Glue)
-paintbrush
-glue (that's my tombow) or whatever glue you adhere your background to your ATC card with.
-background paper and ATC card
-no phone required...lol

STEP ONE:
Adhere your background.  Paint on glue around the border.  I usually squirt a dime-sized glob onto a small piece of scrap paper.  You can either paint it straight across or in various lengths like mine for a more distressed look.

STEP TWO:
Lay your foil on top of your ATC and press the foil against the glue hard to make sure it all sticks.  Allow to dry (i let it stand overnight, but it doesn't take nearly that long).  Trim edges.

STEP THREE:
Gently tear the foil from the middle out.  Tear it by wherever your border ends.  Careful not to tear it too far...it'll come off fairly easily.

STEP FOUR:
With your Emory board in hand...sand away.  You can pull back excess and tear a little more to get it exactly how you want it.  Also, sand the edges a little to make the foil even with the card.

Be sure to seal the card somehow after you finish it...the foil does tear easily.

DONE!

Ooooo.  I like this concept!  Smiley  I may have something I want to try it on...if only I had an addiction to little candies and therefore a stash of metal foil around!  lol
