My husband and I created this modern doll house for our son during the summer (i know, very late posting!).  I made all the furniture and my husband did the house.  We wanted something that was multi-functional in case our son got tired of play with a dollhouse.

This has been used as an airport, parking garage, star wars rebel base, even a stool and table for snacks!

We first got the idea of a modern, open house from madebyjoel.com

Here is a link to his house:

Yeah we're pretty proud of it!  Let me know what you think!

This is just the cutest thing!  Did you make the dolls too?  They are adorable!

By the way, it looks like your hubby has the same sense of humor as mine...I collect dolls and occasionally I will find them in some inappropriate positions thanks to him!

I usually hate dollhouses... they are so outdated! But yours is just amazing! Like some designer houses

It's so simple and versatile at the same time.

The little dolls look quite nice too.

I love it!
I'm sure I would have been thrilled to have received it as a kid.
Great job!
Happy New Year!

thanks so much guys!  sometimes i want to put this dollhouse up high (out of kid reach!) and rearrange all the furniture so it looks like a show home again .... but then that wouldn't be very fun now would it!

Oh and no, I didn't make the dolls.  I did have a hell of a time trying to find unclothed, plain ones though!  I got the dolls from Windmill Education
