RenaeAiken: Rainbow insanity!!! That's BRIGHT!
Strawberryh: Wow, does that blue ribbon ever POP!

So I didn't post my pictures last night because bed time snuck up on me Tongue But here's my yarny goodies from Craftyhsmom (eat the hot pink velour!!!!):

There's also cheesecloth and some crazy pink tulle stuff that has me majorly intrigued Cheesy

And these are from Shdwstrm (the variegated thick-and-thins are dreamy-soft!):

My favourite one is DEFINITELY the brown/white puffball yarn! You MUST tell me what it is so I can buy some!

Here's my huge assemblage of goodies I'm going to use:

The picture is way too orange, which I didn't realize until after I'd put everything away Tongue There's a handspun cotton-fluff, lace, bead garlands, wool, acrylic, various beads (the buttons aren't in the picture), and of course the goodies from my partners! Many pieces from my stash are shorter than 10 feet, so I'm trying to work out a way of making my scarf so that I can still use them (cuz they're purty Tongue). I'm thinking about doing this sort of braid:

That's one of our moderators, but I can't remember her username now Tongue Jane-something?

Gonna try sorting my yarns into strands tonight, wish me luck Tongue

i received my last bit of yarn from our lovely organizer Slingmomma!
will post pics of finished scarf tomorrow  Grin

received saturday night and couldn't resist finishing the scarf sunday morning!  took quite a bit of time but fortunately didn't have any problems with tangling.  i tied the end to a dumbbell on the floor and braided it very loosely as it seemed the only safe way to control the strands.  anyway, i absolutely eat the finished product:

tried to get an action shot but the camera flash kept highlighting my bra through my shirt Wink
i wore it to my parents house for family dinner last night and got a lot of compliments about how it turned out.  i think i'll be setting aside some 10 ft strands of yarn for my mom so she can make one herself!

thanks ladies this unicorn zombie apocalypse was SO much fun!!!   Grin

Everyone's scarves are looking so pretty! even seeing the difference in tension in the braids makes the look so different. They are all so pretty!! I'm thinking of making one for my boyfriend's daughter, she's 10 but she's still shorter than me (barely), so thinking of making it 5 ft of yarn instead of 10, lol.

I can't wait to get my final package and make my scarf! I've been in the process of slowly going through my apartment and decluttering because my son and I are moving in with my boyfriend, and its a long friggin process to combine 2 households with 3 kids and 3 pets and yrs of accummulation on both ends, and I haven't MADE anything in over a month, so I can't wait to make this scarf and let out a little bit of creative juice! Smiley I am a little worried about how long its going to be as I'm short at 5 ft 1 in, and I'm even more worried about tangling (I have a cat and a small hyper dog who also loves to play with string like a cat, my boyfriend calls him a catdog lol), but hopefully all will be well! Smiley
