before:

and after:

The person I made the mouse for was the deciding factor on whether or not the whiskers were yarn or fishing line. But I think I'd like to try and make a few more and play around with the whiskers and use different types of materials.

oh and here's an in action shot of my sister's cat playing with him!

That is so cute.  I say you make him some whiskers.  I wouldn't use yarn though.  I would use fishing line, or something similar.

Aw!  He's a cutie with or without whiskers, but I think whiskers would be cool to see!  Yarn would be cute, although I'd be curious about something with a little more stiffness to it.  Fishing line maybe?

Very very cute.  I would add whiskers.  I once made whiskers for a stuffed rabbit out of thick black thread that I waxed.  It worked really well, and the whiskers stayed stiff and whiskery.

Thanks so much everyone for the insanely kind words!
I just now figured out this whole reply thing. (I thought there was some way to reply back to each comment, but I've realized that you can only send a general reply - unless I'm just horrible at this message board thing and there really is a way...if so let me know!)
But, I put whiskers on the little guy over the weekend and I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to put the photos onto his computer! So expect an update soon!

Frankie: wow, what a professional job you did. Put me in for whiskers, I don't think you could go wrong with 'em.

awh, thanks a bunch! it definitely was an experiment trying to make this guy. I think he looks more like a blimp than anything, but maybe with the whiskers he will look more mouse like?
I hope!

most excellent!  No mouse should be without whiskers - so I'm glad to see they ended up there!
