Aw, hope life starts treating stoliedina better soon!

deathchicken - Your cards turned out nicely! How many did you make all together?

I don't think this counts, but I decided to use Shop the Swap for holiday shopping only and I'm on my way to starting a pile in the closet for gifts!

Also sending stoliedina best wishes...

I have made a couple of holiday cards, but they are slow going.

I KNOW this doesn't count, but I went to Craft Warehouse yesterday because they were having a 70% + 20% off (!) all of their remaining holiday items. Although this isn't holiday crafting per se, I was so excited about the great deals that I had to share (and I did buy some supplies that I am hoping to turn into holiday gifts or decore!)

Oh no, I hope stoliedina is okay and that things get easier for her!

Lapoli-- Thanks! I made 30 cards, enough for all the people we send to!

kaz814-- Thanks! I actually hand-wrote all the "Merry Christmas"es and "Happy Hanukah"s, veeeeerry veeeerrrry carefully. It took a little while. >_<

So sorry to hear about Stoliedina. I hope things will get better soon.
Deathchicken - I love your cards. Your ornaments are funny, too.
Belladune - must find out what "shop the swap" is...

How did I not notice this thread earlier? It's literally made for me.
I started my Christmas list for 2011 ON Christmas day.
I'm doing the 50 crafts in 2011 and destash 2011 -alongs, and most of my lists are recycled items for Christmas. So this goes along perfectly.
But really. Everything on my list is either a gift or holiday decor item.
I love that Polaroid ornament someone posted...I try not to make ornaments because they tend to look cheesy. But I think that would make a wonderful garland. I've started making cards and gift bags, I'll post pictures later!
So glad this thread exists! Now I know I'm not alone!

Glad to have you her, Lilianpearl. I have been visiting your other post, and have seen your bags. Its is a very good idea making reuseable bags, and yours are cute.

I meant to do this last year.  Maybe this year for reals this time.

*Important Note*

I just wanted to let everyone know that stoliedina is going through some personal issues and is having to take a break from things, including the Holiday Handmade Crusade, for the moment.

That means that the prize drawings and stoliedina's other Crusade details will be on hold for now, but I hope that we can continue to meet here informally to prep for a great holiday!

There's such great work being done here this month--lists made and projects started!  Let's keep on crafting and supporting one another so that when stoliedina  returns we can be proud of our fabulous holiday progress!

I do hope she's better soon.  I've been a lurker on this thread for a long time.  My first submission will be today.

Here is my first gift done.  It's a pendant for a friend who is wonderfully geeky with me.  She'll love it.  I just took this piece out of an old laptop and used the wire to make the loop on the top.  I mod podged several layers onto it to make it smooth.  I figured it would be best to avoid sharp pointy bits on a gift.
