I really like the idea with a basket of ornaments, friends can pick from.

oneredbooot--it is a tradition with my friends that they drop by and get to pick out a handmade ornament out of a basket in my foyer...I also attach them to bottles of wine or plates of cookies, so I need lots and lots!! Cheesy

what an awesome tradition--so cozy!  can't wait to see a photo of your basket at the end of the year!

I am in for sure this year - last year was very stressful, what with the tears and the lack of sleep... I will do better this year! I think the monthly themes will help, too.

This year I think I'll try to actually stay on topic, that should help me actually get things done Smiley

Just checking in with my good intentions. Guess since it's start small I'll make that cable ornament that I've got queued...

This month I plan to get the following done:

-30 gift tags
-30 cards
-15 bows
-15 gift basket items

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

One of my goals this year is to make 75% of my holiday gifts for people, three new ornaments, and all holiday cards, and to do that, I need to start now. >_<

The ideas I have so far...

Brother - Scarf
Male cousin - Scarf (very creative)
Female cousin - Scarf (hey, if it works twice...)
Miscellaneous family members - spiced nuts, patchwork potholder (at least six), rice handwarmers (at least six)
Parents - possibly a small quilt?

For my in-laws, aunt and uncle, and husband, I've no clue. Alas!

I've already made half my cards, and the other half will be done as soon as I can get to Michael's and get some blue cardstock and sticky paper tabs. Will post a picture when they're finished! :-)
