The sun is out in Seattle today so it was my sign to grout this mirror already!

18 inches diameter base
Mirror is 8 inches square

I did not cut any pieces of glass, I simply bought tumbled small broken pieces and put them in where they fit.

Wooden base treated with water sealant- Wire hanger on the back to support 50 pounds
Black grout

Wow, very cool! Love the colors and the checkerboard border around the main mirror. You should definitely do more mosaics. Smiley

Pretty! I thought the background was black, but it looks purple. What color glass is it?

Where can you buy those?  At a regular craft store or do you need go to specialty store or an internet site?  If it's a internet site, could you share it?  I'm planning on trying my hand at making a mosaic on a window and that sounds like what I need...especially since I don't know how to cut tiles!

I buy tumbled glass pieces at a store called BEDROCK INDUSTRIES in Seattle.  Here is the link to their store... I don't know if they ship or not.

Thanks!  That's funny because  I randomly found Bedrock Industries online last year and after I wrote the question to you, I thought to myself, "well, if joby560's place doesn't work out, maybe I'll try that online place I bookmarked!"  So, I'll give them a call and see what I can arrange.  :-)
