strapless christmas dress

Here's a dress a made for myself for christmas. I used black cotton/polyester and black satin for one layer of the dress and the 'belt'.
First I wanted to make a tree with the satin and make one of the branches over the shoulder, but I decided not to do it. I liked it better simple. there's a zipper in the back by the way.

I made my own patterns, based on a dress I had made before.

it looks really good!  i love the dropped waist.. i try to pull that off, but it's difficult to wear when you're 5'1"
