Easy to make! All you need to make you horse furrier is faux fur, velcro and thread. I figured out how to make these by looking at pictures of shipping halter covers I think. Great way to personalize horse stuff.

The Jewelry is simply string (I used leatherish stuff) with beads and bells. Both the necklace and hair piece have clips to keep them in place.

Burma likes her carrots =)

There dont seem to be many horse creations on here so I thought I'd help out. If you have a horse feel free to post their beautifulness. We need more horsiness on Craftster =)

comment, ask questions, etc

I don't have a horse yet. Sad Hopefully in a few years after this horrid recession recedes.

I am completely horse crazy. I was really excited to see your post.

The halter and bridle are so cute and pretty. I love how soft they look. I love the beading.

My favorite is Burma. She is a beautiful girl. Now, I have horse pangs. Smiley

Funky! I moved to a city to do uni, so had to give up my horses.. Sad I miss them so much! Definately bring on the horsiness to craftster. I've heard of horse shows where they have a fancy dress section? That would be cool to see here.

Thanks for the comments! I hope you get your horse soon, lylacfey!
There is plenty of other stuff to make like tail wraps, saddle pads, blankets and bareback pads. I wish there were some tuts on here.
Any ideas for other horsey things I could make myself are very welcome!

This is a great idea!  I was just looking at these fleece halter covers in a Dover catalog and they are really expensive!  Anyway, I just got some patterns for saddle pads and riding breeches in the mail from "Suitability" that I am trying.  Wish me luck!  Your mare is beautiful!  I lost my thoroughbred mare, Scarlett, to colic last April.  I haven't been able to get another horse yet, too soon, but I miss her terribly!  Keep posting the horsey stuff!

Thanks! OOo breeches! I've always wanted some of those. What fabric are you using for them? You'll have to let me know if you get any pictures up once you make them or at least how that goes. Yeah, good luck, sounds tricky hah.
So sorry about Scarlett. I have yet to face the pain of losing my horse, must be terrible..
How long have you been riding?
