Which software did you use?

I've noticed that when I use PCStitch, I generally have to increase the brightness to really get the colors I want.

I used KG-Chart LE. But instead of going out and buying all new floss, I tried to match up what I already had in my stash. So, that's why some of the colors are off. But oh well. It's going to be fine. And yes, I too had to lighten mine to get all the details in the background. I'm not even halfway done with this, and I'm already planning out my next big project.  Smiley

Hello, I'm new here!

First I do have to say I absolutely adore all your work. After I started my first big project a while ago, I got even more humblyfied! Everybody here seems to be whipping thoe stitches up in no time!

I try to do 100 stitches a day, which takes me about an hour. Then it all gets fuzzy in front of my eyes, my neck hurts and I need to stop. Still, 100 a day is my goal. If I can keep it up, I should be done within about a half year - sigh! I honestly thought it would be faster. Oh well. Thanks to Audibles I got nearly 40 hours of unabridged Stephen King's The Dome to listen to while stitching, that should keep me busy for a while!

I made my own pattern with the KG software, and I'm hoping it will turn out well.
It's the Spartan from Halo.

I make it 150x110 sts (hope that counts as big project) on 16ct black Aida.

I got this far so far:

doesn't look like much yet and it is a bit darker in real, just the camera makes it a bit lighter. I'm not too sure about the blue, but that is what KG said to use, altho it seems to be more brown on the photo. Will see.

Cannot wait until it is finished! Hopefully nothing comes up and I'll finish this year, haha!

Keep on stitching everyone  Kiss

Dragon News.....

This totally sucks!! I miss counted-- I rarely do this!!
So now..... it is pretty much garbage. There is really no point it pulling it out since it usually takes more time then stitching it. I just don't have the heart to start it again right now.
It is totally my fault for not stitching page by page. I just had to go ahead with a black section. Stupid me!

I actually miscounted 2 across rows. I never make mistakes --maybe its the reason I'm really upset!!
After I calmed down a bit I did some thinking-- I might be able to fix it--was looking at the pattern. I will have to stitch the dragon first. It is really the only part that really needs to be a perfect shape. It can't have missing rows.
I will work on fixing that area once I have the dragon in place.  It really is the only thing I can think to fix it.

Yikes, that really sucks. And what about stitching over that row? Mum said she used to do that. I did it too, but I must admit I had to stitch over a white stitch, so that made it easier...

I'm not sure how I'm going to fix that area yet. I decided to stitch everything normally and I will avoid that page.
I will then make my mind up how I will fix it at the end. It is the easiest solution I have now without trashing it all.
I can not skip the rows on the other pages because my dragon will look strange with missing rows.
I think I can make it look fine in the end-- I hope anyways!!

Two weeks in! So, so much confetti on this project. Fingers crossed that it'll be worthwhile and make for an awesome blended picture.
