*jaw drop*

So detailed! Great work, I'm impressed. Kittykill, if you fail (if you ever, show off Wink) to make lace, feel free to contact me. I live in Belgium, close to Brussels, and I can get two kinds of lace for you.

Thanks everyone!

Lilibet-I may take you up on that offer. I'm trying to learn tatting and getting very frustrated.

Here is where I was on January 18th.

Here I am today!

Yay for progress (and better lighting)!  The only bad news is... this project is due on TUESDAY the 15th.  Although I have definitely stepped it up, I still need to complete the border, the rest of the fireball, the rest of the head, the gaps in the body, lots and lots of blue accents throughout the entire piece, and lots more!!!  I am ridiculously nervous because I am not entirely sure I will get it done before Tuesday.  I am making this for a coworker and he has been nice enough to give me so much time (lol I started this in 2009) so I really don't want to ask for more.  Ahhhh late night stitching...

Alright, I've never done a stitch-along before, so I hope I'm not too late to get in on this one. I wanted to have some progress to show before I posted. I've definitely been inspired by what I've seen here so far. So, the back story...
The hubby used to be really in to WoW, and he was looking up some fan art one day, and he came across this...

I loved this piece of art from the first time I saw it. The artist's name is Sara Forlenza, and she does some AMAZING stuff. She's got tons of stuff up on her website, http://www.saraforlenza.com. Go check it out if you've got some free time.
I emailed her, asking for permission to use this work for a cross stitch piece, but judging by her Facebook and webiste updates, she only gets online once every three months, so she hasn't responded yet. But I read some responses to other people that have recreated her art in other forms and sent her pictures of what they did, and she seemed really excited that people liked her art that much. So, I'm going to finish this (hopefully), and send her pictures, and hopefully she'll think it's cool.
I made the pattern, and it's a total of fifteen pages, 31 colors, and I believe the finished size is 311 stitches x 233 stitches.
Aaaaand, without further ado, my progress so far:

It's not a whole page, but I wanted to get started in this thread. I'll update when I finish this page. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Finally got some progress pics of Harley. Not great quality, but I got tired of fussing with the camera!

I just finished her face. Was nice to use some new colors after so much red and grey.

@DreamChild; Wow! I cannot wait to see some more progress and eventually the finished piece! Though this is not my kind of art (more of a Victoria Frances type) I love the colours of it. Good luck!

@Phooka; I just love cross stitch on black fabric. I really want to do that one day. Great progress and it really pops out!

You guys are awesome!

Phooka, I love Harley and am totally impressed by the dark aida.  Someday I'll give it a try Smiley

DreamChild556, the Wow fanart is going to be amazing- I can't wait to see what the silver and blue will look like!

starwarspunk, today's the 14th!  How's that dragon coming? Smiley

kittykill, I love the redwork- your stitches are so neat!

I haven't been posting updates since a lot of the last bit of my lady was black (and dark shades of almost-black), but I finished her over the weekend!  Check her out: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373046.0
