Dood, dragons are teh awesome! And that looks like a wonderful piece. Most of the ones I see are very stereotypical medieval fantasy instead of eastern. They always involve an old guy in a dress. (Wizard or similar, I know, but sometimes they're really just men in dresses)

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Right, maybe this will keep me on track Cheesy I started this table cloth two or three years ago, thinking I would give it to my mom as a birthday present that year. Roll Eyes Yeah right. Like I could keep attention to a project I need to put down and pick back up later. But maybe this year I'll focus enough to finish in time, since her birthday isn't until the end of october! Cheesy

Here's what I've got so far

And here's the cover image of the kit

It's the nice mix of natural linen with that firey touch that attracted me, hoping that it'll go well with the mainly red livingroom in my parents' summerhouse, especially in autumn. (and no, that's not a camera error, there IS a red line running along the black on the main part of the stalks)

Oh, that's pretty. I love the colours!

Good luck!

PS: I know your pain, as I'm trying to finish a table cloth myself :p

You'd think that being out of work since Thursday (Birthday + Atlanta Snow) would mean had had gotten tons done of my stitching, but, instead, I find I'm so bored I can't even work on it.  I need some inspiration, guys!

My new hobby: Watching Never Mind The Buzzcocks on youtube while crafting Cheesy It's perfect since you mostly just need to listen to the rambling!

Check out www.librivox.org

They have lots of free audio books (through the public domain) read by volunteers.  I finished Little Women recently and it got me through a lot of stitching.  I especially like stitching when I hear about other people in the book stitching.  Lol.

My current big project is a cross stitched version of the Opeth Logo.  I think their band logo is one of the prettiest ones about, and as my boyfriend loves them I'm stitching it up for him as a Valentines/2 year Anniversary pressie as they're both in the same week.  I've had to make the design pretty massive so as not to lose any of the detail. Here's a link so you can see what I'm talking about - http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2fr2badYqi0/SoSERmYgYFI/AAAAAAAAAIw/YjhZzIdCrFQ/s400/opeth_logo_by_ethuil88.jpg  I'll get a pic at some point when my cameraeidesto cooperate.  It has been going well recently until my hand started to flare up so have been banned from sewing for several days Sad Bad times!  Hopefully it will get done in time though Smiley

I always tend to have stuff like Eastenders on as background noise when I'm sewing lol

Well, about keeping busy when embroidering or so. Dad accused me of being addicted to tv. While I actually don't watch, but just listen. I just want to work with something going on around me.
