Is it super stiff and uncomfortable?
I've fused plastic before and got very flimsy pieces as well as very stiff plastic pieces

It's not super stiff but I have to be careful putting it on. Once it's on it's pretty comfortable though. It's eight layers of plastic fused together.

The 'lace' was so intricately done.  You did a wonderful job.  It looks so elegant!  I am not familiar with fused plastic, though.

You fused it AFTER you cut out that lace pattern?! I don't know how you managed to keep the layers together so perfectly while you ironed it together.  I would love to make something like this, but since it would just be me and my exacto knife, I might go crazy first.

No I fused it and then cut it on the laser cutter. That would be insane!

Ohhh, that makes so much more sense!  I must have mis-read your explanation.  From the picture it looks like there is a seam between the vest and the collar - did you fuse that seam together or did you sew it? Did you have to do anything special to make the collar stick up like that? 
Sorry I have so many questions, I just love that something so beautiful can be made from something people typically throw out!
