Thank you! I went and bought the yarn to start the project. What color are you going to fill Yoshi in with? I'm going with a sky blue. I might even add a cloud.  Smiley

If I ever get up the gumption to fill him in, it will be with a sky blue.  I just find it so hard to want to make a gazillion more granny squares! haha  A could sounds like a wonderful idea, you'll have to send me pictures of it!  If you have any questions for tips/tricks, feel free to ask! Smiley

Geeze! Pretty epic. And I thought my perler bead art took forever. I'd like to do more 8-bit art in crochet. I want to put together an art show called "Geeks and Crafts" and do nothing but things like cross stitch, crochet, sewing, perler bead art, and what ever "traditional" craft styles but with a gamer or geek twist. I have done a bunch of things already... I have a cross stitch that I'll be working on that is Wesley Crusher. Can't wait to get started on that!

That sounds like a great idea for an art show!  I'd certainly love seeing something like that and think it would be awesome to participate in something like it!

I really want to learn how to cross stitch because I love 8-bit art and want to try it in other smaller (and hopefully less time-consuming) forms.  My only problem with that is that I'll probably come up with some idea that will be much more involved so it'll take the same amount of time, haha

I've really been considering doing some things in perler beads but am coming up short with ideas for what I could practically use the things for.  I mean, I love 8-bit perler bead art, but can't really justify having a gazillion of them just sitting around my house unless I come up with a good use for them Smiley  Do you have any good suggestions?  I stalked you a little and found your Sonic box which is AWESOME, so clearly you're far more experienced in it than I am and must have loads of wisdom to impart on me Wink
