Now that my crazy weekend is over, I'm finally getting a chance to post pics of the great package I received from slingmomma:

A lovely handspun alpaca(!) headband (yes, it fits my enormous head!) and a crocheted scarf - the yarn color matches the handspun perfectly, which is impressive!

A coffee cup with a sewn cozy and a bag that matches the cup (my kid stole the bag to stuff her things into then yell SURPRISE!!! and present it to us...), a kleenex cozy, and some delicious-looking teas - one of which has valerian in it (which really works to relax, BTW) and I'm about to go enjoy some now....
Thank you!  It's been warm here the past few days (in the 30s, lol...) but the scarf will surely be put to good use come Wednesday when it's going to be 10....

I love your pics! I'm so glad you liked it all! It was a total fluke that the Lion Brand Homespun matched my handspun! As soon as I saw it I couldn't put it back! Both the scarf and the headband are Tunisian crochet... I'm addicted to that scarf pattern already!

Brielauren is AMAZING!!! If I'm the knit goddess she is a crochet goddess!!! The scarf and gloves are more beautiful than I could imagine!! Here are the glorious (and very late) pictures of my treasures:

I love, love, love these gloves. I love the lacy pattern and the little pearl like buttons. Too cute! I've had tons of compliments! (I immediately started wearing them every chance I got!)


This scarf is the cat's pajamas for sure! I had said that I really likes steampunk and kind of would like something in that style and Brielauren totally pulled through with that tricky, vague request! She picked the dark grey because it reminded her of oil (which looks lovely) and added brown fringe and some circle embellishments that look like gears! I LOVE it! And it so thick and warm!


I'm am totally a happy camper (despite my tired looking smiley face)!! I would swap with Brielauren any day! Awesome partner and I am so unworthy!

Those are such pretty fingerless gloves! 

I received from my partner stepharella on Monday.  She claims to be new at crocheting, but she made me this gorgeous scarf and cozy slippers and she doesn't look like a beginner at all to me.  I absolutely love this shade of brown and it goes so nicely with the pink and cream and green.  Just beautiful. 

I took an action photo but it just made apparent how long it's been since I shaved my legs, so here's my floor modeling instead.  Thanks so much stepharella, it was great swapping with you.
