My good friend wanted to be a saloon girl for Halloween and asked me to make her costume.
The corset is hers, but the rest I looked at various costumes of saloon girls and then winged it.

The skirt is made of four panels trapezoid-shaped panels.
The striped trim was hand-dyed with tea.  I loved how it turned out.
The gathers were made with grommets and ribbon.  The best part is that it's adjustable depending on how high -- or low -- you want to go.

The bustle in the back is a couple of big fabric loops sewed onto a square piece of black felt and stuffed with tulle -- I had nothing else on hand to stuff it.  The bustle was then sewed onto the back of the skirt.

The bandeau bra was pretty much a long rectangular piece of fabric gathered at the center to create a sweetheart neckline.  It was attached to the corset by safety pins in the front and back.
