It's folded out of a 1/2" piece of coffee filter.  Since I haven't mastered the art of using pins/tweezers, this is probably as good as I can get with my nails.  But I'm pretty proud of him (actually, he's more impressive in the picture, in real life he's just a little white blob!).

Now I'm working on my 3rd and 4th set of 1,000 cranes at the same time - my 4th set is just for a single photo shoot for my 3rd set (the Daily Cranes) so I'm not sure which I should call the 3rd set and which should be the fourth set...

...all I know is  one of these days I hope to be able to look at a piece of paper without my fingers twitching and thinking about folding it!

That's so tiny, I don't know how you can even see it well enough to fold it! It looks awesome!

I've tried these--they are not as easy as they look and definitely not easy when so tiny.  Thanks for sharing.

Do you have a filter to block any images?  It's here: http://pics.livejournal.com/smeddley/pic/0012q183, there really is a picture!

hmm... that link takes me to an error message... i've never had issues seeing images before. i'll have to look into it on my home computer. but, i really want to see this! i used to teach in japan, and i had a group of students who were obsessed with making the teeeeeeniest cranes imaginable! one girl had a magnifying glass necklace she used just to make them!
