For the current Friends of Craftster Raffle swap (come join!), I made a purse out of a skirt that I was going to donate.  The requirements were to upcycle something into something else.  I reused the outer skirt, the lining, and the tie.  The only thing I used that was new was the interfacing and thread. Cheesy  No pattern, just cut and went with what was in my head.

After:

The tie was on the skirt as well, as a belt-like thing and I thought it was perfect to close the purse with.

That's very pretty. I must say the skirt isn't something i would have worn either but the bag I would definitely carry! Great upcycle!

It's fabulous!

In my younger years I totally wore skirts like that.  Smiley

Woo hoo, thank you both!  Smiley  I haven't worn the skirt in AGES and I didn't think I was going to again.  I hope whoever gets it in the swap likes it as much as I do.
