All my cutting and prepwork was finished while watching A Very Long Engagement last night! (Love that movie, but it's actually tough to watch a subtitled movie while crafting. Though I DO speak some French....)
HAHA I know the feeling!  I tried knitting while watching La Vie En Rose a little while ago.  I speak NO French, so it was one eye on the knitting, the other on the subtitles.

icebyrd67, a book purse sounds ingenious!  Could we get a pick of the inside?  Just a few more days left for signups and for pics to be posted of your offerings Smiley  Friendly reminder!  I'll be working on my item tomorrow when I'm off between laundry loads from the faire this weekend, I had a blast!

Sure they do. Of course I said "awesome" on another post so I may not be the best person to comment on that. Grin

I think I might start saying dagnabbit. I also think I'm going to (finally) take pics tonight. And maybe even get them posted!

So after searching for about an hour in the place where I KNEW I had this stashed, I looked and found it elsewhere.

Made from felted wool sweaters. I also needle felted designs on them. I hope y'all like them.

Mittens:

and a mini stocking:

I've also made mitts from a sweater!

Then again, the two pairs are quite different. Here is my offering. Off-White Mitts...

... and Matching Cup Cozy (from one sweater sleeve)

The background: so my extra-small sister shrunk her extra-small sweater last year or so, into something unwearable because of its small size and odd shape. Photo with my arm for reference of how small it had gotten:

This semi-felted (because it's only about 40% wool) sweater had been hanging around in my craft area waiting for me to do something with it for a while. The fun part is, I was able to use the other sleeve as well, and then we've made this hip shrug-thing for my sister (still needs to be evened out a bit).  *Note that this is NOT part of this swap!*
