I did these for a Christmas present this year. These are hand painted converse with acrylics and then sealed. I drew the design on the shoes with a mechanical pencil, then used a sharpie to go over my design outline and then painted in the outline. The whole thing took me 3 days as I had to wait for the paint to dry completely before sealing them. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Especially since this was my first time painting canvas shoes. I think the next pair I do will be Draculaura from Monster High.  Seems to fit a pair of pink and black shoes don't you think.

Thanks for looking and as always C&C are welcome.

These are AMAZING! Can't wait until my arty teen wakes up (noonish?) to show her the possiblities instead of boring old shoes!

@ Kyanee- I used a spray sealer for acrylics that was specifically for water proofing and also was yellowing resistant. I believe it was made by Krylon. However, it does make the canvas a bit tacky, so you can't throw the shoes in the dryer or they will stick together or to anything else in there with them. They have to be hand dried or hung up to dry. But this way you can spot clean them by hand gently.

These shoes are amazing! Excellent work and I'm sure whoever received these as a present must have loved them.

Impressive! Your colours and lines turned out very crisp! I actually just watched Totoro for the first time this week (why did it take me so long!?) so now I can be in on the cute tribute crafts too! <3
