Another steampunk softie made mostly from stash items. Only the grey fabric, grey felt and the gold medallion where purchase to complete this project.  This is Tompion Zeitgeist

Has everyone fallen under Tompion Zeitgeist's spell...great creative work on that one quazicat! =]  Do you have those designs included in the book, or do you use them as jumping off ideas, or is this all from your own imagination??  Way cool.  Shocked

Here's what I've been up to lately:
a string quilt:

applique blocks to complete snowball quilt top:

quilt top ready for layering-(I did find the fabric in my laundry basket of fabrics to use up!)

and new quilt project-half-square triangles!!  I've gotten these done just a few minutes ago and pic shows fabrics that I'm putting w/them.  All from stash.  I'd gotten the yellow fabric for snowball blocks and will use up much of it for this one.  **not even making a dent in the downstairs stash, unfortunately** I'll have to haul it out box by box and give some away and or donate it!**

I love the snowball quilt.

I have a massive bag of wood beads that I have no idea what I'll do with. I don't even remember where they came from. I used some to make a bracelet with peace signs.

What a lovely bracelet!  Is it strung on that memory wire stuff?  I was given some and have no idea what to use it for!

Love the snowball quilt appliques!  It is progressing nicely!

Also, your string quilt--how big are your blocks?  I did mine with 10x10 squares and I am starting another with 6x6 squares...I don't think I have long enough scraps for anything larger, but I love the big blocks look!

Inspiration without application is moot.

Have you considered making strips longer by sewing two shorter ones together at the ends?

LolaandBean's bracelet is very nicely done...I like the natural colors used in it...great way to destash!  I have a belt I bought to repurpose and use up some beads in a project...I would like to know what you've strung them on, too! =]

Always...the blocks were cut from one of my cutting squares...not 10X10 and bigger than 6X6...=] and I think it may have been a bit big for some of my scraps...but at least they've been used up...and some denim scraps, too!

good idea, rottenlittleboys...it never crossed my mind to do that!!  Cheesy

RLB has actually given me a great idea for a quilt....I recently made bias tape by sewing together scraps and then cutting and ironing to the widths I needed...I bet if I sewed together a bunch of scraps and then did a strip quilt it would be very random and colorful...hmmmm...genius, RLB! Cheesy

how big is that quilt, kittymom13?  It looks like 6 HUGE blocks!

So yesterday I discovered craftgawker. For anyone not familiar with it, it gathers pictures of peoples crafts from around the internet (with links to the originals) for the purpose of providing inspiration to other crafters. I have already marked a bunch of projects, some of which I can do with what is in my stash. Other things I'll need to buy stuff for.

Because of that, I can't decided if it's a good site to figure out how to stashbust more or bad because it makes you want to try out new things that you'll need to go by more things for XD
