Thanks for the comments!
So yesterday I put the nails into the wood frame I bought yesterday to make myself a loom. After supper, I went at it and used up one ball of handspun yarn on it. While it was a pain to spin with, this yarn was made for doing something like this. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the finished piece!

I'm actually pretty proud of how this turned out  Grin

What a pretty weaving!  You could make a cute little purse...or a mat for a table to show it all off...I love mats like that under a plant or a piece of art...

ysmeine--that is so cool how the sleeves can be changed like that!

meleriffic--awesome projects...the quilt is so lovely and the flowered child's hat is adorable!

j_kievet--I think I need to make that pledge...ten more yards of fabric mysteriously were delivered by the mailman on Saturday...I seriously need to stop... Cheesy

Amazing destash efforts, everyone! This thread really inspires me, especially since our finances are pretty tight right now.
I've been working on a destash project this weekend for the current Craftster Challenge. Here's the link:

Everything I used for this altered canvas (including the canvas itself) was from stash. I'm pretty pleased with it!

Pardon my silence, I was a slug all weekend... Cheesy
and today was catch-up day w/yard work, little jaunt into town for milk and stuff...and then I got started on finishing my Snowball quilt top.  It is done and now I'm working on layering and finding backing material in my stash.  You know the exact one you have in mind is in there somewhere...but Where Huh ...

Vamped...love the work you've done on weaving!  Seriously, you make it look like McGyver-Craftster-instant satisfaction! *...way to easy looking and tempting to try out...*
=]

Brackish Potato...I really like the canvas you've made...and all from stash!! *Bravo!!* =]  Way cool!
I may need to see if I can translate that into a scrapbook page...I think Sis is having a crop this month. =]

Weaving is a great way to destash yarn, even those little left over bits you can't bring yourself to throw away 'cause they might be useful! I actually started a ball of yarn that is made up of scraps. There is not much too it yet but I'll be looking forward to seeing what it weaves up.

Another steampunk softie made mostly from stash items. Only the grey fabric, grey felt and the gold medallion where purchase to complete this project.  This is Tompion Zeitgeist

Has everyone fallen under Tompion Zeitgeist's spell...great creative work on that one quazicat! =]  Do you have those designs included in the book, or do you use them as jumping off ideas, or is this all from your own imagination??  Way cool.  Shocked

Here's what I've been up to lately:
a string quilt:

applique blocks to complete snowball quilt top:

quilt top ready for layering-(I did find the fabric in my laundry basket of fabrics to use up!)

and new quilt project-half-square triangles!!  I've gotten these done just a few minutes ago and pic shows fabrics that I'm putting w/them.  All from stash.  I'd gotten the yellow fabric for snowball blocks and will use up much of it for this one.  **not even making a dent in the downstairs stash, unfortunately** I'll have to haul it out box by box and give some away and or donate it!**
