Oh yeah craftylittlemonkey, I know the kind of quilt you are speaking of. My aunt made one for my cousin and he still has it 10 years later. Loves that thing.

I had a patchwork quilt when I was little that I love love loved. No idea where it went to but it was the inspiration for the one I made (that took me over 20 years to complete!). I think quilts are the best heirlooms, even if they are just patchwork and not the fancy pieced together sort.

So, this box of crafting supplies... I'm too late for the givers and needers but I want to trade stuff for Teesha Moore squares from different people. I'm going to work on sorting the bin into cohesive craft stashes then offer them out. Should be good, it's some great stuff.

I haven't been doing much destashing lately because I've been working on amigurumi for a swap. But I'm about to start papercrafting for another swap and that ought to help me get rid of some paper stash!

aprettymess - All of your skirts are so pretty. And the headband is super cute!

I made this a while ago, and never took pictures...
I usually put two straps on my bags, but this one was made from a child's t-shirt, so it's pretty small... and one strap just seemed a better fit. The shirt is 100% organic cotton, and it says, "I'VE GONE ENVIRONMENTAL"

Neat! I'm trying to start up a fat quarter exchange swap! I'm bored with my stash, but I'm trying not to buy new stuff. I've put it up in the possible swap boards... there's a link in my sig line below.

Speaking of quilts and fat quarters... I have been collecting blue and white fat quarters for years, and I finally did something with them.

It's a lap-sized quilt (36x50 or something like that).  I had to buy two fat quarters to get the variety I wanted, and the binding and batting, but everything else is from stash.  The backing is pieced together with leftovers from a project that's 3 or 4 years old.

So that's most of 7 FQs and about 2 yards of other fabric out of stash.  A much better use of my time than homework.

Awesome quilt! and I totally dig that saying environ mental, ha!

I sorted through the tshirt fabric and sure enough, I have about 3 dozen pairs of panties cut out and matched up for stitching, even a few pair stitched up and waiting for elastic! Those have been in a box for about 5 years.
The rest of the shirt fabric is set aside for our quilt. And 2 large totes of fleece and one of sweater remnants. I'm going to fold laundry tonight but tomorrow this stuff meets the scissors.

Thanks!  The sad thing is I have enough fat quarters left for a whole other quilt.  I think I know what my mom is getting for Christmas...
