a coconut spindle...and newspaper yarn! Inconceivable...

alwaysinmyroom...lo ve the bookmark idea.  I needed to find a way to use up some cardboard in the bias tape/ric-rac pkgs! Not to mention the small moutain of scraps acumulating lately!

off to look for some fabric for swap items...then to knit!

oh--I use those to make embroidery floss holders!  or inside bunting to make them stiffer!

Also, for ATC's and inchies!

oh, I'm sure there are millions of uses for them...I'm in the right place to find ways to use them up!! =]

you asked what the little grannies were from the potholder yarn I was working on...they will be used in a blankie sometime in the future...May or June granny crochet-along project.  (something scrappy)

lol, I should definitely be in this craftalong... I swore myself off buying new supplies a few months ago, and I have about 7 large bins of yarn, and all sorts of other stuff I need to get through.

I think the newspaper yarn would do well for crocheted baskets. I'm not entirely sure how you crochet a basket, or even how you do it with newspaper yarn, but I'm sure someone, somewhere has found a way to make it doable.

I don't know how to crotchet so I can't answer that specifically, but apparently newspaper yarn is surprisingly strong. I have a few projects lined up to try it out (with knitting and weaving) so I will let you know!
