I designed this sweater based on one I saw on Anthropologie.com (here's the inspiration:  http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?navAction=jump&id=19725464).  But after reading reviews, it's an unflattering a-line, so I made mine with a fitted waist.  I used Cascade Ecological Wool (2 skeins) and US 10 needles, circular/seamless from the bottom up.  It ended up being a pretty quick knit.  (Ravelry project page:  http://www.ravelry.com/projects/TheYarnBearer/bitter-end).

Very cute! And it does look much better with shaping Smiley

Are those small rope cables on the back or just columns of knit stitches?

They are just knit stitches, but twisted stitches would look nice, too.

I love the fitted look and long length. That's a really flattering jumper now.

Thank you very much!  I'm actually in the process of writing a pattern booklet, Shan, that will be published in the next three-ish months.

Your sweater is beautifully done. I wonder if you could give us folks some tips on how to join a hood. I have never done that before and haven't really found anything helpful by Googling. Maybe others would be interested as well. Thanks for any pointers you can give.
