I was busy making fabric gift bags lastnight, since i am trying not to use any paper this year,  when I got to the point of needing tags.... this wonderful idea came to me on how to make reuseable tags too.....

and here is what I came up with...fabric on the front and back with a layer of the REALLY thick interfacing in the middle.... the front of all of them

closeups of some

here is my favorite part...... if you use a "mark b gone" marker to write on the tag,...all you have to do is spay it with water and you can use it again

and on a gift

thanks for looking.....

I esp. like the candy cane fabric you used!  Also, just an idea, you could "assign" each person you are giving gifts to a specific fabric pattern, and that way the person would know which gift was his/hers by the tag.  I love them!

What a wonderful idea!  I love your paper-free goal, too.  I'd love to see your pile of paper-free presents if you've take a photo of them together.

Good on you for making sustainable wrapping. If you have the same faimly crew each year assigning the same pattern to them is a great idea. Well, until someone buys a present that comes in a huge box!  Cheesy

That is an incredible idea! I've never heard of the Mark b gone markers but I can see how they would work to reuse them every year. Love them!

Holy cats!  Congratulations!  You deserve a crown for this... a crown made from intricately cut soup cans, decorated with shiny bottle caps with a stash busting velvet lining.
