a swap is where you craft for someone, and someone else crafts for you. in a secret swap, you don't know who is sending to you until you receive the package. swappers can live anywhere. we have lots of americans, but I'm australian. sign up!

i reallly really wanna join, BUTTTT.... i've been looking at the past swaps galleries and it seems like everyone in these swaps send like 20 things to their person.  i think i could do one, maybe two things, but i don't think i can fulfill an obligation of a bunch of stuff... so i guess my question is:

is there a minimum/limit to the stuff we send to the person we are assigned to?

I guess it's "whatever feels right". No help, I know. But I'm sure most craftsters would prefer say 2 really lovingly made small items, over a few big but crappy items. Thoughts on quantities, anyone?

maybe like, minimum 3 or 2 and max is whatever..I think i MAY do this if it is okay with my mother..who pays for shipping is my question? Since, I live overseas..in saudi aramco actually (saudi arabian oil company compound). well does anyone think this is possible..? i also don't think im that great at making stuff yet but if its for another person it'll be the best that i can possibly make..i hope they like them...so how do you kno who to send your swap to if they don't know..?

think if you can post internationally, it's not a problem.
I know who sends to who and who receives from whom. I also let one of the mods know. You know who you're sending to, but not who you're receiving from (they're different people).
Most craftsters are tolerant of different levels of ability. opinions?

As far as how many things to make, I think it depends on what you're making.  Obviously, a pair of earrings takes less effort than a knitted scarf.  I myself am of the mind that the swaps need to get back to a reasonable amount of stuff, rather than truckloads.  I myself would be more than happy with one really nice thing.  That's my 2 cents.

I'm with Melinda, I'd rather have one really nice thing. Some of the swaps actually set an amount of time you should spend working on the item(s).  Personally, anything I make spans over several days (with my kids' help  Wink). If you like what you make and would use it yourself, then I think it's good enoough to swap. I'm always a little anxious if my partner will like it, but that's part of the fun!
