Fabric selected for all 3 Dotees and cut for two. Some ideas for embellishments jotted down.
Since my partners all want Dotee/ATC/inchies related I think Dotee is a good place for me to start (for no known reason!)

Eeee! So excited! Same here!! I started with dotees as well. I guess its because its the most time consuming?

I've got 2 dotees done and was finally inspired for the last one just now Smiley

I have to schedule in my crafting time for now. It's the beginning of a new semester, but I can't wait for the weekend! (that's my main crafting time)

I know better I really do.  I set the three year old up with acrylic paints and a wooden birdhouse this afternoon.  Thought I'd work on stitching up my dotee as he painted.  Planted myself about 4 feet away.  Settled down to stitch the last eye before I added the fun stuff, when all of a sudden there is a bright red spot right between my dotees eyes!!!!!!  For a brief moment I thought it was a bloody nose but no, it was the 3 year old splattering paint from 4 ft away!

So the eyeball is half finished.   What do you think, do I scrap the whole thing or is there a way to save him??  I am so bummed about this.

Perhaps you could sew on a mask-like shape and work it into the design. Then embroider your eyes. Kids, you just gotta love em!

Thank you ladies for the advice on attaching hair. I appreciate it. I'm still in the planning phases and if I can stay out of the craft stores and just try to focus on something I might get somewhere. These inchie things and ATC's are going to be the death of me. I need to plot a direction and stay on it. That's the bad thing about exploring a new subject.. LOL.. You aren't sure which direction to go in and all of them look good.. Ah well, I will plug along.  Grin

Almost 10 inches of snow here in Omaha today and it's still coming down.  I used the excuse that I needed to get materials for crafting just to get out of the house though.  Smiley  No lives put on the line, the roads weren't too bad when I went out.  With a full house because of the snow day I needed some time out or risk my sanity.  lol
So now I have everything I need to get started on the actual crafting.  I'm thinking pull out the sewing machine and go hide somewhere.  The family can't find me unless they listen for the *whir whir*  Cheesy
