That's absolutely darling! I've always loved the Fair Isle dresses and stuff (but hate to pay so much at a chain store); now I can make one for my little girl in the colors WE like! Thank you so much for sharing this!!

I have a quick question. When you're doing the hdc stitches, do you just go through the back loops of the stitch below? It seems that way with the pictures but I just wanted to make sure.

The answer to your question: Yes. In most projects I've seen/done, you'd stick the hook front to back through the previous row, here it's the back, to get those v-shapes.
