I made this for a friend's daughter for Christmas.  I used several tutorials here on craftster to put him together.
This was the obvious inspiration.  My monster bag was heavily influenced by it: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45906.0
I used this tutorial for actually constructing the messenger bag: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=2684.0
I used this one to make an adjustable strap: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=186144.0

I am pretty proud of him...The material wasn't the easiest to work with but I think he turned out cute.  My favorite part is how I lined up his teeth so they peek out just a little when the flap is closed.  Smiley I hope my friend's daughter likes him.

Thanks for looking!

Adorable!  That put a smile on my face this morning after a night of little sleep.  I'm sure she will love it!

Very cute!  I like the fleece you used--it looks so nice and cuddly!

I am an apologist for the spiders.

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.

Smiley  I hope so.   Phil actually said it was pretty cool when he got home last night and he is sometimes too honest about my crafts.

Thanks!!  Its actually some sort of short pile faux fur.  Its rather slippery and fiddly but it is super soft. Smiley

Oh I love it!  I have some fabric like that and I swore I would never touch it again.  I might have to give it a try though - that is just too cute!
