My dad died at the age of 49 this April leaving a wife, three adult kids, and five young grandchildren.  To give the kids something tangible to remember him by, I used his old shirts to make teddy bears for them, one for my mom, and one for my brother and his wife who have yet to have their first child.  The squares on their necks now contain a photo of my father.

Thanks for looking.

Sad  I'm so sorry for your lost. I really think it's a great Idea to make the Bears out of your father's clothes so everyone has something of his. This is Awesome. I love the plaid look of the Brears & the picture is so dearing. Your familly will love them.  Wink

That's such a thoughtful and beautiful gift!

Sorry for your loss.   This is wonderful! It's like giving your dad a hug.  What a wonderful idea.

What everyone else has already said.  Smiley  The plaid is snuggly and perfect, and the bears are adorable.  I imagine it would make me feel better to craft through my grief; I hope it did you.
