I bring you my wreath of cupcakes! The leaves were made by handpainting real mint leaves with melted mint chocolate wafers. Once the chocolate was dry, I peeled the real leaf off and viola!
All in all I made 126 leaves. It took a while to make the leaves, but was worth the effort!

The spare cupcakes were sitting around like this:

Here's one PERFECT leaf that I'm proud of  Grin

I could not even tell that the wreath was edible. In fact I am still having trouble believing it. Amazing Work.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Holy cow! When I clicked the thumbnail I thought this was a real wreath made from silk flowers. It is incredibly beautiful! I bet this would be a gorgeous alternative to a big wedding cake. Hmmm, I have 2 daughters, maybe I'll tuck this idea away for when/if they get married.

Aww thanks guys. It was indeed edible. I had to coax them into eating it, but once someone took the first one, they dug right in. Wink

They do look like silk leaves.  I didn't know they are cupcakes until I read your post.  The white icing makes it almost luminous.  Nice effect.  Arranging it into wreath makes it the more festive.  Congratulations. Cheesy
