I've been working hard lately and needed some instant gratification project.  So I downloaded Utlinde's Bellflower bookmark and tried it -I had wanted to do it for a long time now- with a metallic yarn I love but didn't quite know what to use for.  In the end it came out quite large, so I converted it into a headband.  I like them as much as some people like bags or shoes!
I couldn't wait to wear it:

And this is before joining the ends:

I feel more relaxed now.  I can go back to the harder work!

Great idea converting it into a headband. It looks really nice on you.

It is very pretty. And your hair looks so good with it - the color of the headband and the color of your hair are great together.

This is a really pretty headband.  I like that it started out as something else though, because as a newbie to crocheting, projects often start out as something else then become a different item entirely!

I also like the width of it - I find narrow headbands move around too much and make a dent in your hair so if you don't want to wear it anymore that day, you're screwed.

Congratulations on a beautiful piece!

Thank you all!  You know, I am thinking that this pattern would look good too as a table runner, using big needles and some interesting yarn.  It would make a nice xmas present too, don't you think so?

Agreed!  I would probably pick a drapey cotton blend so it's washable...good call Soorawn!
