I'm too scared to start on my bag, so I've been making a couple of the filers today. Didn't finish either one, but made progress!
awww, i understand. getting your stuff already and seeing how cool it is would make me nervous on the return as well.
making progress is all that counts... we still have a month  Grin

As for linings, it's on the inside... I don't think it's the biggest thing to worry about, as log as it doesn't really clash. But my personal opinion.... I HATE Dark or solid black linings. They're like staring into a black hole!
A print or medium-to- light color is always so much nicer!

I fixed my sewing machine! I can finally sew my bag together  Grin Once I get some fabric to line it anyway, I've changed my mind about the original lining  Undecided It was the perfect colour, but too thin...

I got my fabrics early Saturday afternoon and I'm almost done with the bag.  I spent most of Saturday night watching movies and cutting/basting/pinning.  I'm finally to the step where I sew in the lining.  This is one of the first time's I've ever used a pattern for a bag (normally I just wing it) and I'm really happy with the way things are turning out.  I might have to post a pixelated teaser pic when I'm done.  Smiley

I was finally able to take a trip to the fabric store today. I found the most beautiful fabric. It seemed so perfect for my partner that, even though it did not really fit in with my original design, I had to buy it. I have to do some pattern altering now but I am totally psyched about the new design.
Yeah for pretty fabric!  Cheesy

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

Fabric shopping is fun!  Cheesy

I just finished a pint of coffee flavored Haagen Dacz, tomorrow is my birthday, and I'm watching episodes from the 'Office' on DVD while working on an extra for my partner's purse.  Does life get any better than this?   Grin  I don't think so!  Wink
