Just saw this.  I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for sharing how you made it.  I think we may have one like it next year.  I am American and am getting tired of all the "stuff" we put on trees.  I went without this year and just put out my nativity.  I would love a Christmas tree if it were simple. Simple in looks and simple to put up and down. And as geeky as my husband is he will love this one!  I think it looks like a space age tree hovering in the room.

Thank you again.

I'm glad you liked it! It's so wonderful to share ideas and get so much positive response to them! Hopefully by next year there will be plenty of un-trees around the world! Wink I'd sure love to see other intrepretations of it =)

Let me tell you how much I am loving this right now. We can't put a real tree up this year because we are going out of state and the cats would just eat it if we left it up and it is too much hassle to take it down BEFORE Christmas so we were going to do a wreath with our very favorite ornaments... SCREW THAT! I'm having a ghost tree!!!! Seriously, so much love! Consider yourself pinned, wisted, and otherwise bookmarked! Thanks so much for all the pics!

Only 3 weeks left untill it's time for christmas decorations.
I'm sooppo excited and want christmas now with all the music and baking and of course the lights and trees!

I'm counting the days like a child, and to be honest... I'm kind of curious as to wether we'll see any more untrees in the world this year... =)

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!
I'm so pleased that I found your posting of your un-tree.  Hubby & I are snowbirds spending the winter in Florida.  In the past we've gone home for a few weeks to spend the Holidays with the kids & grandlets but they're getting older now so, this year, we're here until spring.  Since all of my decorations are back in Illinois, I decided to use your tree as inspiration.  Using your layout for the wires, with fishing line for the verticals we fashioned a similar tree that I'm very well pleased with.   I love your tree & appreciate that you've allowed me to use your idea. I'll be posting photos of my own as well.  Thanks again.

I think this is a brilliant idea. Going to try it. I wonder if it would work with different sized hula hoops sprayed green? Maybe not, since it would upset the idea of the tree...thanks for sharing your idea.
